Stephen M. Waddams

Tony Duarte Stephen M. Waddams, M.A., LL.B., LL.M., S.J.D., is a professor of law at the University of Toronto, where he has taught since 1968. He has published several books and many articles, chiefly in the areas of contracts and damages, including The Law of Contracts and The Law of Damages, which was the winner in 1987, jointly with The Honourable Mr. Justice Robert J. Sharpe’s Injunctions and Specific Performance, of the Walter Owen Book Prize, awarded annually by the Canadian Foundation for Legal Research. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Dominion Law Reports (Canada Law Book). Professor Waddams has won numerous awards for legal research, as well as teaching, and is a guest lecturer at universities around the world. He was made a fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 1988.
