Goldie Bassi, B.A., LL.B., LL.M., is an associate Lawyer at Gowling Lafleur Henderson, where she practises employment, occupational health and safety, and workers’ compensation law. Goldie represents employers and other workplace stakeholders in defending against regulatory charges. She also has significant experience in representing employers at Coroner’s Inquests. In addition to providing legal representation, Goldie advises clients on how to proactively meet their obligations under occupational health and safety law and provides advice on identifying any gaps in their risk management systems. She speaks regularly on a wide range of occupational health and safety and employment law topics, including due diligence, risk management, and the Bill C-45 amendments to the Criminal Code. Goldie has published numerous articles on occupational health and safety law and on the regulatory policy implications of emerging technologies.
