George N. Addy, B.A., LL.B. currently heads the Competition and Foreign Investment Law Group at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. Building on his experience as a former head of the Canadian Competition Bureau (where he was responsible for enforcing the Competition Act and initiating and implementing legislative and policy review of the statute) and a senior executive with TELUSCorporation, he assists domestic and foreign clients in all aspects of competition/antitrust law matters and Investment Canada matters. He is a director of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (Chairman, Policy Committee) and was a member of the Management Board of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee at the OECD. Mr. Addy is a frequent speaker on competition law matters in Canada and abroad.
